10 Magical Christmas Gift Ideas for a Harry Potter Fan

So it’s the 1st of December and Christmas is very nearly here. I’m sure you’ve started your Christmas shopping already unless you’re like me and you leave everything until last minute. Here are some gift ideas for the Harry Potter fan in your life or of course for yourself 😉

  1. Your Very Own Weasley Christmas Jumper

Created in the Scottish Mill that made costumes and clothes for the cast and crew of the Harry Potter films, this jumper is a must have for a Harry Potter fan at Christmas. You have the choice between Ron’s ‘R’ on a maroon jumper, or Harry’s ‘H’ on a blue jumper and they can be purchased from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter online or at the tour itself. They’re a bit of a splurge at £69.95 but the quality of these jumpers is wonderful. I have one myself and wear it all year round, not just at Christmas and it’s super cozy! See it here for yourself!

2. Hogwarts Express Ticket Cushion

Exclusive to the Platform 9 3/4 Shop at King’s Cross Station, London, this stunning and unique cushion would make the perfect gift for any Muggle who longs for a real ticket for the Hogwarts Express. The print is double sided and has every detail of or favourite magical train ticket printed onto the 32x19cm cushion. At £15 this would make a great gift! Plus, Platform 9 3/4 Shop packages their parcels so beautifully you’d think they’d actually come from Diagon Alley via owl, you won’t want to open them! They’re packaged so nicely intact, you could hand the whole parcel straight to your recipient without needing to wrap it!

3. Pumpkin Juice Necklace

This beautiful Pumpkin Juice necklace is just one of the many amazing magical jewellery pieces made by In The Dungeons on Etsy. I recently bought one for myself (see here) and couldn’t believe the amount of detail that was in such a tiny piece of jewellery and at just £7.27 you really can’t go wrong with this for a gift this Christmas. They come beautifully packaged in brown paper with a wax sealed note so you really feel like you’re opening owl post! There are lots of other pieces in In The Dungeons’ Etsy store including mini Demiguise necklaces, little Pickett earrings, and cute Billywig ornaments just to name a few.

4. A Harry Potter Onesie

You can’t go wrong with PJ’s for Christmas. Everyone loves PJ’s and with the cold winter ahead this cozy Harry Potter onesie from Primark is sure to keep you toasty! My friend and fellow Potter fan TheHufflepuffQueen1 (found on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook often features this onesie in her posts and has even wore it in one of her YouTube videos and every time I see it I just think of how cozy and warm it looks! I love that this onesie is a little different to all the other Harry Potter onesie’s Primark has released as it has a really funky pointed hood like a witches/wizards hat and features a super cool Golden Snitch zipper. They are just £16 and would be perfect for wearing on a cozy Christmas Eve watching Harry Potter, drinking hot chocolate and wrapping the last of your presents.

Available in Store only, find your nearest Primark here – http://bit.ly/2aUyyRn

5. Authentic House Scarf

Wrap up warm and show house pride with an authentic house scarf available from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter online or at the tour itself. As with all of the knitwear at the Studio Tour these scarves are absolutely wonderful quality. I own one of these myself and have had it for about 5 years, I wear it every day, every winter and it is still good as new (see here)! I love how the design is the more subtle Harry Potter scarf design from the later films so unless you know Harry Potter you’d have no idea, so it’s totally cool to wear these around Muggles without them looking at you funny 😉 They are just £26.95.

“They mean every flavour… George reckons he had a bogey flavoured one once.”

A great stocking filler and only £2.95 on Amazon! I am always too much of a wimp to try any of the beans but they are definitely true to the books and films with lots of disgusting flavours such as bogey, dirt, earwax and vomit, mixed with delightful flavours like candy floss, cherry and tutti-frutti! Perfect for pranking friends or playing fun games with!

Also available are Chocolate Frogs with collectible cards inside, Jelly Slugs (my favourite!) and the closest thing to real Butterbeer you’ll find – Flying Cauldron’s Butterscotch Beer.

7. Sorting Hat Bath Bomb

Bath bombs are so popular right now, everyone loves them! A bath wouldn’t be complete without a fizzing, bubbling bath bomb! So why not combine a persons love for bath bombs and Harry Potter with these awesome Sorting Hat bath bombs! You can either select your favourite house or choose to have a random house colour in the middle of your bath bomb and wait until it fizzes away in your bubble bath to reveal your Hogwarts house! And to top it off these come with little house themed charms inside too!

They’re such a cool gift idea, I know I’ll definitely be buying a few for family and friends this Christmas and at just £4.50 they’re an absolute bargain! Available on Etsy by Scentd.

8. Harry Potter Illustrated Edition Books

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was recently released as an illustrated edition and I couldn’t be happier! Jim Kay’s artwork really brings JK Rowling’s Wizarding World to life! Great for all Potter fans, young and old. Whether they’ve read Harry Potter a gazillion times or if Harry Potter has become a new bedtime read, the illustrated editions are a real treat. You can buy this at most stores that sell books (Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s etc) for just £15 which half the original retail price! This is the third instalment so you can also buy Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for £15 each too. I will link to Amazon below but as I say these are available at all major stores and are so so beautiful.

9. Dobby Funko Pop

Free our favourite house elf from the depths of someone’s company warehouse and give him to someone who truly honours the S.P.E.W values this Christmas. Funko Pops are a cool gift for anyone who is a fan of anything but this Dobby Funko Pop with him holding his little sock is just too cute for words! Only £9.99 so great for Secret Santa or stocking fillers and there are lots of other characters to choose from too! Be careful though if you buy one for yourself because collecting these can become highly addictive (or so I heard from a friend…).
