Welcome to my blog. You may have found me through my Instagram, Facebook or YouTube accounts and so may know a little about me already, but I thought I’d continue spreading my love for JK Rowling’s Wizarding World on yet another platform because you can’t have too much Potter love!
If you don’t know me already, my name is Danielle and I live in a little town called Runcorn (can you imagine my delight when we met the character Albert Runcorn in Deathly Hallows?). I am a proud Ravenclaw, though if I went to Ilvermorny I’d be a Thunderbird which sounds pretty cool. My Patronus is an otter which doesn’t sound quite as fierce as I’d have liked, but I cam’t complain, who doesn’t love otters?
I first fell in love with Harry Potter at the age of 9, it’s a lovely story so I’ll save it for another blog post. I’ve been collecting and slightly (ok, overly) obsessing over everything Harry Potter related since. I have a humongous collection of Potter merchandise, dating back to the late 90’s/early 2000’s and I’m still adding to my collection now, I’d argue that I have one of the biggest collections in the UK but I’m not actually sure how I could ever measure that… I would definitely need more than one vault at Gringotts to store it all anyway. I’m not rich by any means, my family is comparable to the Weasley family. I am one of 6 children, I am the oldest (and wisest/coolest/most favourite but don’t tell my siblings that), so I relate to the Weasley clan a lot. I have just spent every spare penny I’ve ever had on my collection and Potter adventures and received a lot of my collection as birthday and christmas presents over the past 16 or so years so I am very, very proud of what I have and where I’ve been and I am not ashamed to show it off a bit, especially to fellow Potterheads whom I know will love and appreciate it as much as I do.
This blog will show my collection in a lot more detail and explore the depths of the entire Potter-verse, unravelling old theories and coming up with new ones, discussing the books and the films in detail, reviewing merchandise from the past and present, rating Potter themed events, places, filming locations, future films and giving recommendations too. I aim for this blog to be a Potter paradise and hopefully just another place for all of us “Potterheads” to jump right back into this magical world and feel at home.
Feel free to comment on any posts I make, make suggestions for future posts, let me know what you like or dislike.
Love and magic,
